Podshow Number 26

Whoo-hoo! I'm freezing, so there's no way I'm going outside. Hey - must be podcast time!
Unfortunately, I'm alone on this one. Let Carmella know you want her back to co-host the show...
Good tunes, tho. Here's the lineup:

"Which Way is Up" by The Hoolapoppers (I LOVE these guys!)
"Better Days" by Laurie Jones
or visit Laurie's Garageband site
"Everything is Falling Apart" by The Five Maseratis
"Little Red Vega" by Monkeyshine
"Sophie" by Scamper

Stay tuned for more tunes by all these bands on upcoming shows! And, what would this post be without, "SUPPORT LOCAL MUSIC!"

The Great Trade Debate - Ceejay & Carmella

OK - didja listen to show 25? Remember Carmella outing Ceejay on the great guitar trade debate? Well, I promised to post pictures and get your comments, so here they are.
But you need some background... Carmella says, "I sure love that Bigsby Tele..." so Ceejay says, "I'll trade it to you for the Blue Tele..." Carmella starts twistin' and says, "uh...no." Hence, the debate, 'cause she wants the Bigsby and I want the Plus. Trade makes sense, no? Let's face it, who has cash anymore?
Both are great guitars, one vintage and rare, one recent and rare.
Whaddya think? To trade or not to trade?

Post your comments. :)

That Just Ain't Right

Wow... I just turned on "The View" for the first time in ages this morning.
J. Michael Haas is right - Star Jones is kind of creeping me out. Some people are just genetically designed to be big, I guess, and this shouldn't be tampered with; It just don't look right.

Don't forget to let me know if you want Carmella Crispy Treat as a regular on the Podcast and please stick your pin in the O.R. Frappr map!

A new podcast coming soon! Stay tuned!

Podshow 25 - A Retrospective Extravaganza

A Special hour-long show commemorating the 25th Episode of Opinionated Ramblings.
I am joined by Carmella Crispy Treat for a look back at some of the best of the show so far! Good times and a hefty amount of beveraging abound. Not particularly worksafe, so be forewarned...
Here is a rundown of the tunes for the evening...

"From this Day" by Rocket City Riot
"You Want" by Corporate Whore
"Mercury in Retrograde" by Sean Wiggins
"Wishin" by Nuclear Saturday
"Far Away" by The October
"Mata Hari" by The Mungers
"Extraordinary Girl" by Jack in the Pulpit

Don't forget to cruise over to our Frappr map and pin yourself. And let us know if Carmella should trade guitars with Ceejay!! Who wouldn't want a vintage Bigsby Telecaster??
Thanks to 15 Megs of Fame and the Podsafe Music Network for hooking us up with the bands...and as always, SUPPORT LOCAL MUSIC!

Podshow Number 23 - The Mobilecast

The "mobile-cast." A decided degradation in microphone audio quality, but the music sounds great so all is well in O.R. land. At least we know we can "take the show on the road" if we want to.
Lots of good stuff today - some acoustic-comedy, singer-songwriter folk with a conscience, killer chick-rock, and hoppy-pop with an edge.
Please stop by and put your pin in our Frappr Map (link at right below the logo-photo block).
Now, here's the important stuff:

"Food" by Deirdre Flint (dedicated to Big Fatty at littlefatty.com)
"My Love" by Barb Carbon
"Little Secret" by Julie Gribble
"Phoebe Cates (is Dead)" by The Hoolapoppers
Podcast Promo: The Radio Memories Network - Old time radio programs and music
"Cheerleader" by Deirdre Flint

Hope you enjoy the show! Please post comments or if you'd prefer, send me a gmail (ceejay1964) with your ideas and feedback (put "Opinionated Ramblings" in the subject line).

And, as always, SUPPORT LOCAL MUSIC!!
